With EA DICE‘s Star Wars Battlefront II continuing to deliver content and improvements to the game, the Battlefront series is close to returning to the epic and intense gameplay from the past. While the original Battlefront II released all the way back in 2005, there are still communities of modders supporting the game with free mod packs and expansions. If you’re looking to jump back into the nostalgic action, here are some of the best mods for Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) that are currently available to download and play.1) Star Wars Battlefront Conversion PackThe Conversion Pack is a must-have for all players, and for many of the other mods on this list, as it provides improved units and modes, while porting the maps from Star Wars: Battlefront (2004) and bringing the Knights of the Old Republic era to Battlefront II. While you have to install the v1.3 file before adding v2.0 and v2.2 to your mod folder, the instructions are easy to follow and the content of each of the updates to the Conversion Pack are listed on the site. Download the Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack.2) Mass Effect: UnificationA Geth Trooper from Mass Effect as seen in Mass Effect: Unification.Entering another sci-fi game, Mass Effect: Unification brings the races, weapons and locations of the Mass Effect series to Battlefront II in stunning fidelity. Play on maps inspired by the games, such as Virmire, Noveria, and Eden Prime, with over 25 playable units and 9 playable heroes from the series.

With new voices and soundtracks on top of a modified game menu and HUD, this mod is a great way to refresh the look and sound of the game for Mass Effect fans. Download Mass Effect: Unification.3) Star Wars Battlefront III LegacyThis mod is based on the cancelled Star Wars Battlefront III project and uses assets from those files, in an attempt to provide the public with the sequel that never released. The Legacy mod adds a whole host of maps, units, weapons, eras, animations, and more, with the inclusion of ground-to-space combat on several huge maps. With the amount of quality work that went into the mod, it is suggested that you have a high-end PC to handle the level of detail and sheer size of the battles within. This mod adds a new era to all base maps and several new ones, allowing you to play as a random clone legion each time you start a match. Also, new characters and units are added from The Clone Wars animated series, with enemy heroes having their own AI across a variety of game modes. The visuals also get an upgrade, as new lasers and effects make the action more immersive. If you are a fan of the Clone Wars, you need to check this mod out.

There's hardly much to do offline. Battlefront I and II are capable of being played for hundreds of fun hours offline and I know that because I've done it and continue to. Battlefront EA can get mind-numblingly casual.

The Scariff maps feel hastily made just to fill that last space of 'extra content.' There are plants that you can walk through like you're a ghost and there are identical plants that are solid and block you. The maps are designed for super limited ways to play which can make the so-called game to fell monotonous. A Scariff map for example, when you capture designated capture/defend points, there are sometimes only two ways to get to them. That results in countless dying and killing in the same spots over and over again with little to no movement. The spawns are so awful that anyone can die and respawn in the same area.

Submitted on Review title of Hoth76Amazing Star Wars expirence!!!!I waited almost a year since it launched to finally get it. Huge Star Wars fans and this game really puts you in the universe. Really enjoy playing local matches with my wife and kids. Also enjoy playing online in huge battles. Really wished there was a campaignstory. I heard all the bad and mixed reviews and waited to see how the dlc came out.

This is a fanboy must have! The main reason I bought the xbox 1 and I am not disappointed. Great gaming memories with the family and the ease of play makes it very accessible. Gotta go, SW Battlefront awaits.

Can't wait for future content and titles. Submitted on Review title of xXDemonBlad3XxGood for Multiplayer.Co-Op not as much.Alright every map/game mode is geared more for Multiplayer. While offline/Online Co-op its there but I feel like there wasn't enough. This is coming from someone who has played every Battlefront game. In terms of the amount of Maps for Multiplayer Its not a terrible selection.

I think there were things from the previous games that could have added more value. Galactic Conquest: strategy style game mode mixed with boots on the ground fighting. Space Battles: Small Maps but could be a potential 4v4 or a 5v5 style game mode. With the huge focus on the original trilogy and the New trilogy there wasn't as many heroes and villains which could have added more variety. Co-Op I think Dice got it right for the most part just needs more maps. Compare Missons to Campaign and not a huge difference. From playing Battlefront 1 and 2 to Dice's Battlefront its the same more or less.

There might be a cut scene between each battle and some dialogue other than that the experience was the same. Submitted on 1/5/2017 Review title of ZzBlitzerzZ1/2 of a game on release 👏Graphics are what make this game nothing else. The base vanilla game was very lackluster, offering little content or game modes & made gameplay mainly a grind to rank up & improve star cards which is the only progression in multiplayer.

Now while this has changed slightly with the dlc & hutt contracts added in, the game is still fundamentally flawed. No campaign mode is offered, Offline mode was MIA until 8 months after release & offers none of the dlc maps. When compared, bf2 had 33 maps on release, when this game released it had 8. Bf2 had space battles & conquest mode on release, this game released space battles as dlc & subbed conquest with supremacy mode which pales in comparison. On top of this load times are long, in game voice chat is disabled, & there is no squad spawn only partner, making teamwork hard & spawn points very predictable.

A triple A STAR WARS title coming from DICE should have more contentbalance on release especially when they want $110 for the entire game.
